tornadoes are very scary i remember this night my friend stayed with me that night luckily passed us but Zack Paul did indeed save so many lives the station won an award for this but it was big even national news covered it

My grandmother passed that morning. We were preparing for the funeral, and my mother and some family were on the bottom deck of the Bay Bridge. They had to turn around amd take another route back to the North Bay. I remember my Cadillac doing a rolling bounce on all four corners as it was parked, and the trees waving back and forth, like waving arms. It was surreal.

I lived in Beavercreek when this tornado outbreak occurred. One of the tornadoes hit less than a mile from where I lived. Since that scary night, I have become a tornado nerd and watch everything I can on tornadoes to learn about them. I have watched several coverages of tornado outbreaks, and this woman is perhaps one of the best weather forecasters I have observed! She is up there with James Spann if you know who he is.

I was at home when it happened, less than 3 miles from the epicenter of the earthquake! I can't even describe the intensity of the shaking. Everything in our house fell and broke. We had no phone or power for days. My parents were so calm, even though they were terrified; and even though I was not yet 7 years old, they made it so I wasn't afraid.

Wow, my mother was pregnant with me at this time and lived in that Reno & Midwest Blvd area.

I remember this way of TV weather reporting. Much more low-tech than today, but the charts, maps and slide-rule guys got the forecast more correct than they do today! Now the TV weather person gets all the credit for that work done behind the scenes.

That is scary a tornado at night

I remember this earthquake, my mom was watching it on TV and when the earthquake happened it knocked the station off the air and she asked me "what happened?" I didn't know so got my keys and went out to my car and got on the radio to find out if they knew, was an oldys station and I drove a 1964 Dodge Dart. And it was not on either. By the time I got back in it was on TV.

My mom was watching the game when the earthquake happened. We lived in Brown's Valley at the time and when the earthquake happened my mom asked "what happened?" And I ran out to my car and turned on the radio and tried to get the oldy station that I knew came from San Francisco and I couldn't find it. Now I know that it's because of the earthquake, but it's been awhile since the 1988 bay bridge earthquake. I lost both of my parents in 1995 and in the same year I lost my 1964 Dodge Dart in an accident. I now live in Northern California in the small town of Hallwood.
